Minor thing here and I can't recall if it was this way on 2.x but I think not:

Starting a new project, adding a midi track, then going to pad perform - it's always set to "Notes". The first thing I do in a new project is hook up a drum machine triggered via midi and some notes are on black keys so this is mildly annoying.

I would expect it's set to Chromatic by default for a new project.

Issue with track mute on MPC key37 on bets 3.4. Previously i could playbeack beats in live realtime by going to the track mute screen and muting pads/tracks in sequence. But now i cant because if and when my 4 bar loops i try to unmute drums for example, they will not unmute just then at the begining of the sequence. Its frustrating because if im performing the beat Live and my drums dont come on or my bass or another layer i have to keep hitting that pad 3 or 4 times before it actually unmutes but by that point 1, 2 or 3 notes have been missed and passed. :smh:

When the "Track Mute Status Per Sequence" option introduced in Beta2 is enabled, the Time Division for track mute doesn’t work properly.

Do you mean the mute isn’t inserted at an expected quantise point? Is it just inserting as if tc was set to off?

Mutes can sometimes not be inserted at the quantize point (it's ignored and nothing happens). Turning off the Track Mute Status Per Sequence option makes it work properly.

Just signed up to post some bugs/improvements. Loving MPC3 in general, but theres a few things for me:

First of all I have a KEY 37.

- I can't believe no one has posted this yet so maybe not everyone gets it on their machines: Midi held notes no longer carry over when the loop starts over, they just cut off abruptly as if they were an audio track. I use synth plugins and keygroups all the time, so this really sucks when you're working on a loop.

- Favorites folders glitch out; when I try to select folder 5 it selects 4 and 5 at the same time. If i press folder 1 and then 5 again it works.

And then improvements:

- Your favourites folders should remember the last file type filter you had applied to that folder. So for example if one of my favourites is a Projects folder on an SD card, I want the file type filter on for project files permanently for that folder. Its just less clicks and speeds up the workflow.

- Edit Keygroup should default to editing ALL, or there should be a button up the top (theres space for it) dedicated to turning it on. I use key groups all the time, and if you use them like a synth, which i assume most people are, you want to be editing them like you would a synth, and thats with the filters/envelopes/etc having an affect on all of the voices at once, not individually. Its cool that you can go that deep and I know theres other things you can do with keygroups, I just think the default should be different!

- You should be able to 'favourite' keygroups and drumgroups like you can with plugin patches. The only way to do something like that now is with saving them again into a special folder but it's a waste of disk space.

- Midi should be in clips like audio is for easier editing in the arranger window.

- When using the select tool with the touch screen, it is MUCH too sensitive as you move into the upper or lower areas of the edit window - It suddenly scrolls up or down very fast and you scroll way past where your meant to be 'selecting'. It should start to scroll much more gently so you can correct your finger movements.

On my MPC One I have a couple glaring bugs:

Vertical lines in the grid editing page often randomly disappear completely. Makes editing a bit of a challenge. Backing out of that page and returning will re-populate the lines, but then they'll disappear again as the play cursor passes.

Hitting the double sequence length button gives odd results. If I double a 4 bar sequence, it will add 4 empty bars and then repeat the initial 4.

If you select sample edit and try to move start and end point it won,'t move since the "slice' selector is blank.
you have to double click on this slice menu and select "all" to be able to move your sample start and end points.
(whatever you use the touch screen, the qlinks )
