Is it possible to load the audition audio snippet? I didn't mean the samples that comprises the audition sound, I mean the short audition we here when we use the browse function. Why do I want to do this?

IN our band It'll often say to the drummer something like " give be a slow 4/4 with some fills" He'll play while I noodle and jam on the rhythm. This often leads to some useful creative developments, as the other players jam along.

I want to do a similar thing with the MPC while writing music alone. I guess I'm looking for a drum machine like feature here, but I can't help thinking there must be a way to load the auditions as an audio track without having to initially lay down the individual pads for the beat. That comes later when the creative part has emerged.

Yes, I could record the mpc output to a recorder and then sample that back to the MPC, but my question here is "is there short cut way to achieve this"?

Thank-you.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not seeing any of those directions in my MPC1+ standalone with V3.4
I'll detail my actions as follows:
- load a new project
- select drum program
- go to browse
- Scroll through list to hear the audition sound snippets for various kits
- Listen to eg "Chilled trap-kit-chil 1.XPM about 15 seconds of demo audio for that kit

SO, ho can I transfer that audition audio sound to a track, either midi or audio? (without having to play the pattern myself on the pads) That snippet must exist as an audio or midi file somewhere on the MPC... NO?

Thank-you
