songs on SD card won't show up on sampler?

I downloaded the song i wanted to sample onto the SD card, click sampler, clicked "inserts" , but for some reason it shows the SD as empty and doesn't show the song i want to add. I'm able to add it on and when i go to "sample assign" under browse the song shows up if i want to assign it to a tab, but when trying to insert it into the sampler it wont show up under my SD card
