is there any way to use no time signature in a sequence?

I realize how to turn off the metronome but is there a way to set it where there is no underlying time signature in a sequence so when you record it follows no rhythm just kinda of an open lose sequence. everything has to be on time it seems. probably a dumb question but someone please enlighten me. thx

I think you are referring to timing correct, ratio on the T.C parameter in the top toolbar and set global timing correct to off
