Mac Mini M4 Pro for the brain of the MPC X

At least your MPC works. My MPCX was not connecting with the software on the Intel Hackintosh with Catalina.

Now it only responds to the Desktop software if I unplug the OEM/new USB-C cord from the MINI then plug it in while it's running MPC2 software.

I just keep it in Standalone mode and run Ableton thru the outputs of the Korg Keystage back into the X.

I haven't tried all the plugins yet because the Yamaha Montage ESP is blowing my mind atm.

With my M4 pro 14c 48Go I launch one instance of the Jura pluggin at 96khz and 512 samples. The processor gauge is at its maximum and the sound freezes. Elle est pas belle la vie?

MPC 2 software is a disaster in terms of performance. I used to use a Mac mini 2018 i7 32go. It was complicated to manage with third-party AU or VST plug-ins. Not sure version 3 is much better...

Yes, I have seen it happen.

On the other hand, kudos to Akai for not succumbing to feature creep: deliver 3.0 and whatever ideas that appeared during development shall be 3.1, 3.2 etc. - I'm hopeful for the Force Clip Matrix on MPC, but also glad such big piece of functionality doesn't interfere with 3.0 QA.
