Hi I’m using a MPC One with a iPhone. I’m trying to sample out of the iPhone into MPC one but I can’t hear any sound. I have the sound input selected on the screen. It works in stand alone mode but it won’t work in controller mode. I have the volume up on the record input and on the iPhone. I’m using a brand new cord. I got it hooked up through a iPhone out to Y cable I got from Amazon. No adapters. I tried it the other way also with the adapter to 1/8” to 1/4” y and it’s still not working. I have a iPhone 14 if that helps. Someone please help me! I just wanna sample from my iPhone into my MPC in controller mode is this possible?

If you want to sample into the MPC one, keep it in standalone mode.
If you want to sample into software like MPC Beats, put the MPC in controller mode so it acts like an audio device when connected to a computer.

Or are you confused between controller and standalone mode? As you say you want to sample in to the MPC One and don't mention any software?

I have the same setup as you pretty much. iPhone 14 base model and MPC One+. I use a lightning to ⅛” female headphone adapter coming out of the iPhone, then an ⅛” male headphone cable on one end and 2 RCA male jacks on the other end which have two female RCA->¼” male adapters. These go into the Line Ins on the One+. Volume level is a little low depending on the source playback on the iPhone, even with the knob turned most of the way up.

Regarding controller mode: sorry can’t help you there. I only use it in standalone mode.
