Help - under V.3 I can no longer find the view where I can assign loops to the pads - Can anyone help me?

BTW i think you can also use do it without a need to sample silence - by using any sample, but with velocity 0

Yes, velocity:0 also works, anything that produces a silent layer. You can also use this to introduce silent round robins, e.g note off string noises - populate 8 layers, set three to velocity:0, so now you have 5/8 chance of hearing a random string release noise.

Polyphony would be used up even with silent samples, so if this is an issue, stick with very short samples
