I'm not seeing where it would be possible, but wanted to check. Can a midi track have an LFO that sends midi CC data to the external synth you're programming?

thx!

I imagine you can send midi CC automation, but it has to be written onto the track, so it wouldn’t be something you can turn up the speed of (unless you change the sequence tempo).

Also, you would want to use a CC that doesn’t conflict with one on the synth that has direct control. IE if your filter cutoff knob responds to CC74, and you automate it in the MPC, moving the knob on the synth will send double info and probably cause issues.

this is one of the reasons i'm keeping my ZAQUENCER who does this so elegantly:
setup the MIDI cc, pump it out to MIDI, record in the MPC
i even made a sequence with a few hundred (tracks) of them in my template

The AKAI FORCE can do that, not the MPC series.

Yahp, but if your synth has a "turn off cc transmit" setting then that will stop you fighting the hand drawn automation LFO which could make something freak out.
Also, if your synth has a "pass through" setting then tweaking the knob will interrupt the "LFO" being received until it passes through the value again, instead of your manual tweak values fighting against a constant stream of cc change.
