MPC One and the Lyra 8 - CV tracks

The reason I started to reuse my MPC One was the 4/8 CV outs usable by CV tracks.
it was remarkably easy.

With a MPC CV track the settings are :

MPC CV track
Melodic for CV operation type
CV Port 1 is the port number connection to the Lyra 8 CV Voices input
CV Gate 2 is the port number connection to the Lyra 8 Hold Gate input
Velocity can be sent to CV 3 connection to the Lyra 8 CV Delay input

The Lyra 8 CV voices is not exactly CV note value. Lyra 9 does not do 1volt per octave and the result should be the modification of a held note or the gate signal.
Using an external CV in to the Lyra 8 HOLD GATE overrides the FAST SWITCH.
The Lyra 8 HOLD knob of the respective block needs to be set to about 2 o'clock.
CV 3 out can be used for velocity values or assigned in the automation page.

On the MPC use the PAD PERFORM page to set
Scale to Chromatic.
The range that the Lyra 8 will respond to will be from C2 to C5 octaves.

The Lyra 8 has 1/4 inch CV inputs and MPC has 3.5 outputs CV inputs so I used HOYA Mono interconnect 3.5mm to 1/4in .

Additional benefits of the MPC one with the Lyra 8

In the MPC the Grid page can sequence the CV outs.
Effects can be added to the Sampler page such as a limiter as the Lyra 8 can get wild. The Delay and Reverb effect pre sampling are also useful.
Sampling to a drum track staring Audi track or possibly a Keygroup provide options for the use of the Lyra 8 sounds


The ease and versitilty f using the MPC CV tracks/output shows the MPC One can be used in a number of setup with CV not just the Lyra 8.
