Pads go blank

While playing my MPC Key 61 the pads go blank all of a sudden for no discernible reason. Is this an MPC issue? Im thinking of returning it. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

What exactly do you mean by 'blank'? Lights off? Pads do nothing? What kind of track does it happen on? Which firmware version?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the pads go dark, and make no sound when pressed. Im at work so i dont know my firmware. It was updated a month ago.

It happens on a drum track.

Have you done a preferences reset?
Also there’s a preference setting for the pads make sure to check it out..
