Hi all,

I have an MPCX Se which is amazing in standalone.

I recently hooked it up in controller mode to the desktop 3 software, it works apart from some instruments etc

there isn't an option in the software to activate instruments like Fabric, studio strings , opx 4 etc .

is this normal as these all came with the unit ? - I can use anything else I bough separately like mini d , jura etc and the pro pack etc

All those plugs need to be purchased.. if you bought used the trials might be expired..

thanks for the info - i think that's the thing ,

i bought used - open box , but the original seller didn't transfer those to me :)

albeit when i first set up the x SE i had to install them and they work on the unit fine .

does that mean if i reset the unit the following - OPx-4, Fabric Collection, Organ, Stage Piano, Stage EP, and Studio Strings wouldn't re install and work any more ?

If I'm not mistaken...When you Register your SE, I believe All the Plugins become registered to your account. I'm not sure for the Desktop Version tho

Mpc xse definitely includes all those specific plugins, no need to purchase whatsoever. Those licenses are attached to the hardware and should be listed in your in music account. Have you registered your mpc serial number in the akai website? It’s on the bottom of the unit or in menu > preferences.

Register your mpc and the licenses should be assigned to your account. Open your mpc software, go to activations, log in and the plugins should become available to activate. Or do it via the inmusic download app
