Howdy, I’m still not totally getting the hang of MPC 3.X and I’m wondering if anyone is having a good time quickly improvising with a Live 3??

I’ve figured out ways to flyyyy and make novel beats for hours on end (live on stage) but only on MPC 2.9. Only...2.9....

MPC 3.X has the ability to do a bit of what I’ve been doing on 2.9 (the ability to live sequence a muted track) but seems to be a huge headache to set up because they took away how programs work and totally re-arranged the main screen architecture. Just trying to recreate my 2.9 live performance template on 3.X had led me to nonstop memory issues before I can even fill up half of my sequence, which I have over 10 of. My 2.9 project isn’t even half-full on memory/CPU with 120+ empty tracks per sequence, made up of 100+ drum programs, 4 keygroup programs, and lots of MIDI programs, along with a plethora of submixes, FX, MIDI mapping, custom q-links, 2 audio inputs, all 6 outputs being used with FX and reverbs and compressors and...it's a lot.

My attempts to create a similar template on 3.XX haven't even got me to 10% before I top out my memory.

So if any of you kats are making music fast on your 3.X MPCs, please please send me a video, I’m sick of spending hours on my spare MPC Live 1 only to be blocked again and again and I'd love to see how you do it and that it IS POSSIBLE!

If you want to see what I'm doing with my MPC 2.9, you can watch any of my techno/house/etc live performances on this YouTube playlist in which I can improvise for however long I want:

Don’t get me wrong, 3.X is pretty awesome and I’m using it for other things, but I will never ever use it during a live performance unless I can discover a way to improvise quickly!
