LFO modulation of Sample Start in Mod Matrix doesn't work (M

On my MPC One+, I'm trying to assign an LFO to the sample start position in the Mod Matrix, but there's no effect at all. I've tried this on both long and short samples. I've tried it in both Keygroup and Drum tracks — nothing works.

I've also tried turning Free Running on and off in the LFO settings, and it also made no difference.

If I assign the LFO to pitch, it works fine. The only things that don't work are sample start position and also something is wrong with pan modulation.

My understanding is that if LFO to sample start is available in the Mod Matrix, it should work. Is there something I'm missing?

Yea I noticed this too , if I remember right the only way I got it to work was if the sample was chopped. Not very good as per usual .

I tried with sliced samples too. Didn't work. I can't get this feature to work no matter what I tried.
