I bought a faulty mpc that has no image, only backlight, on the screen.
1. It does not boot up, at least no lights in the keys/pads
2. On the screen where i am ponting, there there was a mark that only shows when illuminated. It looked like a pressure point.
3, after I took it apart, i found that under the screen, a small chip named: lps lp3102qvf (i think) had burned through the kapton (heat-resistant tape) and looks like it has made the mark in the screen.
4. The chip was shorting to ground. I ordered a new chip. to try and fix the screen.
I am wondering.
does the mpc key not boot up if you disconnect the screen?
i am a noob in microsoldering and mpc behavior. does anyone know anything
