The overall big picture Gen 1 support will stop soon with gen 2 announcement.. so time to put the X away with my 3000 and 2000 classic :-D I think im going to buy a key 61 gen 2 when its released looks like they not going to add anything special.. Hopefully live 3 and XL epressive e pads ger some attention soon.

G1 2gigs
G1 4gigs
G2 16gig
G2 4gigs

What's the f**ng point in that ?
At this point it will be more viable to just resolder ram on your own.

Edit:
Unless they leaving some room for G2 SE with 8gigs lolol

It has to be a typo on ram.. 8gb at least there no way your going to ru 32 plugins.

Whats atrocious about the OS? I've got a Live 3, had various legacy MPCs (4k, 1k, 2500) and modern MPCs, think the new OS is extremely good now. Particularly with the Live 3 hardware. I had the original One and loved the layout and it seems the buttons are slightly updated. Its a great entry offering and the usb c audio is worth the upgrade.

they should bring a guy like Swizz Beatz for the next videos, because it's quite flat there

"mpc live 3 is all i need"
"mpc xl is all i need"
"mpc sample is all i need"
"mpc one/key37 G2 is all i need"

also
Force2 aka ADA2S is all I need (hardware emulation already in 3.9 firmware) - unfortunatelly it seems that this 'S' suffix in the codename means as much as 'S' suffix in ACV5S MPC SE. 4gig and that's pretty much it. :smh:
also larger keyboard is all I need but here i'm getting some mixed signals as the ACVM2 key61g2 was removed and replaced with ACVK (force6 prototype). Anyway OG key61 had 4gigs on board anyway right ?

The MpcOne is tempting now that it has USB Out but the OS is atrocious to me, and releasing new hardware at 3.9 seems weird to me.

Just wait... They gonna release an New Mpc just for 4.0...

Akai... :Sigh:

E pads are nice additions you can do alot and im sure more to come.. not for everyone but im happy

MGoolas wrote:I like that finally someone talks about psytrance on the mpc. Technically you could create an arrangement if you synthesize your one shots, pads and arpeggios and mix them down in samples straeming from disk.

It is a very very complex genre sound design wise and most MPC filters do not sound that good in my ears tho. I have yet to find a good bandpass filter that does the trick and the single cycle waves deteriorate very fast in quality when you pitch them down an octave or two.
If they make a good, BP filter that has that nice chirpy resonance when it is cranked up, then maybe I will revisit the keygroup engine for psytrance sound design

I have a couple of mono synths that do nice squelches and wavetably stuff so they help with the situation.

Intereting, I haven’t used keyhroups in a while I’ve been forcing myself to make do with the wavetable synths in Hype and SubFacory to do the job, and I keep trying with OPx-4 to do some cool FM stuff but that synth is beyond my abilities.

I bought MpC tutors “Sonkal” key groups for bass which are cool especially the reese bases but rarely use it since I started messing with sub factory maybe I need to revisit keygroups after I update firmware.

Still no battery for the one?

Such a shame they are treating it like an entry level mpc. It’s by far the best form factor. Also wonder if they’ve fixed all the screen and storage connectivity issues from the One+

The main thing I am happy about with these Mpc is that they have Plastic Clicky Buttons.
I get the Rubber on the Live's to some degree, but I do not get it on the XL. Seems like a strange decision.

Had a k37 and hated the buttons. The clicky buttons on the X are a lot better.
