Hi there! I'd love to request a feature, and I think this is the best place?
The ideas:
- Use a midi note or CC (momentary button? etc.) to open the clip matrix
- Use a midi note or CC (momentary button? etc.) to open the mixer
- Use a midi note or CC (momentary button? etc.) to play the 'next row' in the clip matrix (i.e., the one *below* the row currently playing) or the previous row (i.e., the one *above* the row currently playing -> this would help us use
- Use the "Event arrows" OR the +/- buttons in "Clip matrix mode" (a preferences choice?) to launch previous/next rows .....(at least on the Live III - I can't speak for the other devices in this forum category) in clip matrix
- Use a midi note or CC (momentary button? etc.) to select a track in a mode of your choosing (i.e., I'd like to click a button and it would pull up 'submix 1' on the inserts page so I could quickly make a change on the fly, then quickly switch back to the clip matrix
- Midi Map the Tempo to a CC knob in 'stepped mode', with defined max/min ranges
- Overall, RANGE max/min in midi - it would be great to midi map a fader and not worry about clipping above 0dB, or to set a fader's usable range to only ~10dB instead of -infinity to +6
- Set default mode in preferences to be "Move by 1, 4, 8, 12" in the Clip Matrix (left, right, up, down)
- Midi map 'move by 1, 4, 8, 12' in clip matrix mode
- Show *currently selected track*'s name in the pull-down menu where you can currently access the 'time correct, loop, automation, metronome, link...'
I played a show today and each one of these, altogether, would have made things about 200% smoother to interact with the device
