disk streaming not keeping up with playback

Hi there
Newbie to MPC and to forums generally. I've been working with the MPC Key 37 for about 6 weeks now and it feels like I'm getting my head around it slowly. I decided to mess around with recording audio so put down a basic beat with one of the included MPC drum packs and then added 4 instrument tracks (guitar / bass etc).
Each time I open the file I get the message "disk streaming not keeping up with playback". I have everything saved on a Samsung Evo Micro SD XC1 64Gb through an SD adapter.
I've searched the forums for the error message but it didn't come up with any results so I thought I would post here. I guess I'm wondering whether getting a Sandisk Ultra Pro SD card might solve the problem? I've also seen a tick in the Audio/ Export settings for "Enable disk streaming" and wondering what might happen if I unticked the box?

What drive is holding your Temp Folder in the Preferences? Make sure it's not the internal/factory SD.

I've never hit that error message before. Check what B-Wise said, but also I would try resetting your preferences after any update, I've encountered many strange things, especially after a wi-fi update, which is why I only do USB updates now.

It could also possibly be a data corruption with the card itself. It's a headache, but try reformatting the card and put all your stuff back on, try again. It could also maybe be a problem with the sd card adapter.

That said, I use Sandisk Ultra Pro SD cards and have never had a problem. Just make sure you get a legit one and not a knock-off.

This was it! I'm very grateful for your help. I changed the temp folder on to the external SD and I no longer get the error message. It also seems generally happier - if that's even a thing? Thanks to you and to everyone who replied - I would never have found the solution on my own! I hope everyone has a lovely day.

Cool. I'm glad to help. It's one of those things that's simple but not easy to figure out at first.
