Been a journey into weird with this so far (3 ~5 hr days of bumbling exploration, then finally had to "submit" to the manual, oh no!)

I have a lot of un-well-formed questions - it just feels buggy: like little behaviors that happen one way and then don't necessarily repeat the next time under the same circumstances.

BIGGEST concern is: after I record a live percussion loop into an audio track on a new/empty project, then select Audio Edit from the menu, select my just-recorded sample, then check the warp button... Well, that should change the tempo of my new sample in sync with the Master clock, yes?, which it DOES, and it sounds fine as long as I'm INCREASING the clock speed, but slowing it at all ... ? Sounds terrible. Unusable.

Oh my: I was just now trying this to confirm the behavior by going through those steps again and got another one of THESE:

(How do a put a pic in here? In this case the full crash: "Your MPC recovered from an internal error")

Wow - this isn't feeling much like making MUSIC.

My concern is that I pour dozens of hours into learning this approach/system (which is very different than the Ableton/BitWig/Maschine I am VERY well-versed in... And it's finally not very reliable and/or functional.

Is anyone out here listening who really knows this creature?

Is there a list of improvements under way somewhere for future updates?

How can I add feature requests?

Simple: in Project Defaults there should be an option such that when adding a new audio track it is already armed and the monitor option defaults to "auto".

How about making that Edit Clips button visible/available even when the "Inspector" panel is showing in the Main Screen.

I have about a dozen more suggestions so far, but I don't wanna just be yelling into a Big Empty Canyon here...

Also: has anyone started any really dialed tutorial videos beyond those 3 or 4 2-min rudimentary ones from Akai?

Akai just posted this maybe its worth a help to someone? I just tested this on a breakbeat I had on my SSD and it worked as described.

You can access time stretching on the MPC Live by loading a sample, pressing Menu, selecting Sample Edit (you can also select a different sample from the top of this menu), select Process in the bottom right corner, double tap the Function menu in the display and select Time Stretch.

I hope this helps!

I hope (with practice) that this is easier to do than it sounds. 6 steps just to time stretch a sample??? What happened to the "iconic MPC workflow" that is fluid and easy??!! I plan on using the MPC Live at my gigs so an intuitive, easy workflow is definitely essential to me!!

Fanu wrote:Yeah, and it seems when you warp a sample in a drum program on the software (because you cannot do that for a drum program sample on standalone at all) and save it, then load the project on standalone…it's not warping.

I really hope it's just a bug and they will fix that for the final release.. or even better, fix it and add the drum program warp to standalone as well.

I'd like to see a shift command that lets you go from pinch / zoom in sample editing to "select".

It becomes a giant pain in the ass to keep tapping between the tools in sample edit.

Also, I'd love an improvement to the erase tool, where you drag to select, then upon release, are prompted to erase.
