This forum is hilarious

almost every time i read a post from this forum after about 4 replys it turns into the most off topic arguments that go for days or weeks, good entertainment value but hard to find answers to any of the actual questions

Maybe some of us skew older to the geriatric crowd.

That may be true but can you guys believe the 2.9 bugs?!?! Some users cant even save their projects now!

and that's why, like I've told you before, don't own an MPC anymore. I hate Akai, why couldn't they release an MPC that does everything I want it to do. I love Akai, with those lovely boxes with those soft rubbery pads, because of them I keep dreaming about the perfect drummachine. **** you Akai!

I think it is more hilarious that in the most threads, no matter the subject, after some posts people come in and complain about Akai...

Well it was wasn’t it? Back when they weren’t owned by noobmark and still made in Japan. Now they just make empty boxes for the youtubstagram

I just thought about other instruments and how they evolve. I mean you buy a guitar or a drumset or whatever now and they are still more or less the same as 60 years ago. There are differences but more subtle. You unpack it and you're ready to go. Buy new strings or another pickup or a special hihat or snare. No problem you're still ready to go.
Buy a sampler now and compare it to the ones that came out 25 years ago and........more features, some are buggy and not usable, ok wait for an update............install update, some bugs are fixed but then you got some other bugs, ok wait for the next update..........hey nice they implemented more features but....wait...unusable cause there is this bug, wait for the next update........

This is how tech works..
Computers always involve updates/upgrades..Can’t escape from that..You can’t compare apples with oranges..

1. So guitar manufactur is not tech?
2. I don't criticise updates in general but when updates presents new features while old bugs are still not fixed or even worse the update come with new bugs that weren't there before and therefor ruin usability then something is wrong IMO.

No it's not how tech works. It doesn't have to be like that. If we bring forth the guillotine everytime someone try to sell a **** up product (ok lets give him/her 2 chances) things would look much different. Come with quality or die mofo.

There bugs like all hardware and software. Akai is doing a good job and continues to send out updates.. Akai has recognized bugs and will work on them.... lets be patient and work around the issues.. BTW I love my X

Well, yeah - it’s exactly how tech works - especially in the software world. Is it optimal? Nope. But if the model isn’t for you, perhaps stick to guitars?
