It has really have to be next level for me to get it. I already feel like my X is next to complete. Maybe if they would add 16 ADAT out channels or digital outputs.

Yes, what I meant with my irony wass that it could be DP or usb c for more future proof display output. Dont you think?

Same here. As it is, I think my Live is finally starting to show some signs of illness heh. I think it might be my display acting up, still not sure, it likes to freeze and stop responding while the rest of the MPC works just fine (except I cant save the damn project I've got open cause of the screen), and the left side of the bezel gets really hot when it does it.

I've been thinking if Im going to have to replace this soon, either the Live II or just **** it and get the X finally, but if there's a new X on the way, I think that might be the definite winner. I just want the damn buttons to get around quicker really haha.

If Akai made a key61 with 4gb of Ram and more plugins, next ones will be X and Live with 4gb of Ram and more plugins.
That 100% sure.
The other option is that X and Live get discontinued but I don't think so.
So we will see a 4gb X and 4gb LI've but who knows when.
My guess is before the end of 2022.

I think it's may be a code for a retro x for dealers because I believe the live 2 retro code was live 2xl and people thought the same thing.. I don't think they are gonna do 4gb version of the same thing lol.. that would not have a lot of sales and would just complicate things for them.. the keys has 4gb and also bigger ram because no sd card meaning most sounds should be on it instead off moving them around a lot.. itt makes sense for that case, but x and live no way.. they will make a new product for a need in the market for a different format like a smaller thing or makes a different format force..

I've had my OG Live since the first week it was released. Only in the last couple months have I noticed it "ageing". Battery finally doesn't last as long, q link knobs falling off, touch screen not as responsive, just weird glitches and issues ive never had before

Im sure it still has years left and I plan on riding it to the grave (so many memories with this thing and songs that have been made + Im sentimental as shit lol). I dont want a Live 2 because of the extra size (stupid speaker :WTF: ) so maybe Ill have to dip into the used Live market eventually..
