Just wondered if anyone has heard if the Live 2 has been discontinued..
Was gonna buy one to replace my aging Live 1, but everywhere is out of stock in the UK.
Could it just be that, or perhaps for some other reason?? :hmmm:

Yeah, noticed that. The only reason I posted was I know it's not beyond Akai to silently discontinue products, usually when they're about to launch something.....
Okay, I'll cool my jets & wait a few days ... cheers dude... :-D

Live2 is not discontinued but… they have a new unit coming: codename is ACVR - will have to check more in the evening.
There is no expansion bays and judging by the size of the label in comparison to the overall size of the unit - it possibly could be the „mythical” mini.

You do you, but my instinct tells me we're going to see half-cooked screen casting to tablets or laptops to cut costs and size. If you thought the implementation of USB class compliant audio interfaces was bad...

I'd love to be proven wrong. Knowing Akai though, I'll stick with the devil I know opposed to the devil I don't.

Thinking about it more, it might just be an updated MPC Studio with standalone functionality.

Stop it  Are you going to attribute every one of Akai's next few releases to that ridiculous video where he actually directly admits that it's not an MPC, and not made by Akai? Or in the post here the other day where he reckons it's already available to buy on a super secret web site for £2500 (again without posting the URL)?

If the guy himself is saying it's not made by Akai then why would Akai be filling FCC test reports for it? Give it up man. If Akai do eventually release a small form factor MPC it will have nothing to do with that video, it's because they, like half the internet, thought an SP404 style MPC would be a good call.

the dude in the video clearly said that akai are relasing 3 mpc's this year; and this looks like it will be the 3rd so that means the dude was correct all along.

so if this does turn out to be a mini mpc that is running non standard akai software; that will prove that the guy who made that video was correct.

I predict Akai will release more MPCs within the next decade. Remember to like and subscribe for more groundbreaking predictions.

Funny, I don't remember him mentioning that it was a keyboard. In fact he said it would have 'exactly the same form factor as the MPC Live' and would be 'this kind of size' where he makes a square shape with his fingers.

Also I wonder why Akai would allow it to be currently sold for £2500 on a site before it's even had FCC clearance, and no one else in the world has somehow discovered it yet, only this guy?

Also he did not predict the other two MPCs, these had already been leaked, and his video even acknowledges this.

There's ZERO way this new product will be announced, let alone be available for sale before 2023 is over. Also, what in the world is going on with his mic? Look at that thing lol
