What's the most Efficient Workflow (Least Steps) to Use RX950 Processed/Treated Samples in Standalone Mode?
I am considering buying a new-to-me/used modern MPC. I’m a n00b to them; so, don’t know much about these kinda processes and their capability related to them.
Was an MPC60 & S950 user for +10 years (sold both a couple years ago). So, I’m too used to 12bit sound and need at least a plugin like the RX950 to satisfy me.
Also, don’t have/use any other DAW in order to use RX950 to process samples.
If I bought the modern MPC, that would be my only “DAW” so to speak, to have its’ MPC software in controller-mode.
I’m aware RX950 can’t work in standalone-mode and only works in controller-mode.
So, what the best, quickest (least steps) & easiest way to process samples in controller-mode within the MPC-software, to maybe then later re-save & transfer those RX950 processed samples into/for standalone mode?
Would you resample them somehow from/in the software-mode by routing cables from the 1/4” outputs back into 1/4” inputs, then somehow live record/sample each processed-sample one by one?
Or, is there a feature to just save those processed-samples into its’ own file without messing w/ routing cables and live recording/sampling them?
Or, is this all just a big unnecessary hassle, too many steps, and it’s just easier/better to just use the MPC in controller/software-mode to use RX950?
I’d assume another big advantage of using it in controller-mode is that you could actually sequence/automate the RX950 params vs. just using static/baked processed-samples.
Any insight & tips highly appreciated!
