Just like the batch from vol.1. Being samples isn't even the worst, it's that any of what made these synth unique is gone & all use samples run the Fabric engine & limited to its filters.

These plugs are just overpriced Fabric presets. With the sound engine improvement you wouldn't be sampling these sounds & running into the Drum/Keygroup tracks.

And they raised the prices slightly amd EVERY preset has the oscillators gain set too high, making many of the patches hot (see Bo Beats video). Why on earth do Akai go out of there way to ridicule customers with these rip off products? Clearly no time was spent making these into something.

I love the MPC platform but really think their pricing model is off the charts bad. For full price you could buy an analog synth, for the sale price you could be signing upto Roland cloud (which is also easy to hate on) and get solid emulations.

If they at least emulated the filters, this would have made more sense.

Not sounding like a salesman but they are worth your paying $35.66 per plugins with 10% off and alot of presets Andromeda and Matrix is dope plus you can dail each preset to your own sound.. if they released heavy cpu synth gen 1 mpc wouldn't be able to load more than 2 plugins.. working a beat now on my X they load pretty fast and im not sure you guys want but akai is delivering.. and when they do deliver are you gonna pay $149 for it... because that what in going to guess the next one will cost thats not part of the vintage series..

All smoke and mirrors , they take the piss . They are all the same plugin with a different picture and only one picture on page one (pictured keygroups). You can dial in identical parameters from one synth to another and they sound identical. In fact you can probaly edit the preset in a text editor and just change the name and ID. Also they have all been referenced in the firmware for nearly a year.
Having said that I’d rather they did than didn’t .

Absolutely

Take away the fancy graphic is it really that convincing?

I was excited about the first Vol when they were announced, hoping they were going to be emulations like Jura or Mini D after they released them and it was merely samples and not even a sniff of filter emulations I thought Nah…won’t be buying anymore.i had got them with a discount code so thought that sweetened it a little

Then they announce the new OS update to include the ability to make synth sounds with the existing Keygroups,I wonder how many people would have bought the Vol 1 synths??because I wouldn’t have, had I known it was just samples…they look cool but there’s nothing unique that can’t be achieved with the existing keygroups now that we have Oscillators available now, other than a few more extra tweaks needed in the modulation routing options ,hopefully in future OS updates and I’d be more than happy with just this for all my synth sounds with what’s already inside the plug in suite

Certainly won’t be duped into buying Vol 2,with the exception of the Andromeda I have plug ins of the others with Arturia collection anyway.

Aren’t all these sample sets just turning the MPC into a community of collecting vast amounts of presets instead of learning to create your own sounds through limitations and imagination with all these plug ins in the unit how many people actually spend time making there own sample sets and unheard sounds, nah doesn’t matter we got a shit loads of presets for that to keep you distracted and part with your money

That aside As Andy Mac says, all these plugins will take your music to the next level, makes me wonder if Akai have created more Levels than Double Dragon…yet to see how many more Levels there are happens each new OS update but still full of bugs!!

Eventually Andy when you get to the top Boss level there is the CEO of Inmusic sat behind a cloak like the Wizard of Oz who fooled everyone he’s the big man of authority and fooled you into buying his products when really it’s a scam
