So DJtechtools MIGHT be on point.

Dear god…

Yes, Pete is one of the main devs.
"The Cambridge team" as Andy Mac puts it.

But you gotta understand, the production of the units and getting them out of factories has nothing to do with whether 2.0 is done or not. There has been no mention of 2.0 being done.
I talked to a Finnish Akai distro two days ago; he had called Akai. Still working on it.

I think we should all kick Tyler's ass of PSSL.com. He's the one telling everyone it'll ship on Jan. 19th, he's the one that started this whole charade, he's the one responsible and getting everyone wild up.

You wanna **** somebody up?! Tyler is your target!

Watch out Tyler!

It's people who lack judgment that you can blame. A lot of people believe everything they read online and don't question it because they want a date so bad.
You could go on Akai FB group and write a made-up shop date there with all caps, and soon you'd have tons of dudes spreading that like wildfire.

I've literally seen convos like:
"Do the new MPCs run Windows?"
"Yes."
"OK. Thanks, good to know."

People just gotta think a little and question stuff that they read.

Thats dope. Hybrid and Expand are dope. Had those when l had Protools. Air stuff is nice.

There will be effects on the standalones just not those. People are wondering if they will be any good.

That may be deceptive.

"Akai have confirmed that MPC Software 2.0 will also ship with additional effects and instruments. MPC Live owners will get the following:

‘Air’ Instruments & Effects

HYBRID 3
LOOM
VACUUM PRO
VELVET
XPAND.2
MiniGrand
DB33
theRiser
AIR FX Collection"

Yeah, Live owners get them for 2.0 Software.... meaning they come w/ the SOFTWARE for Mac / PC that Akai gives you w/ the purchase of a Live (or X)... but are they installed and running on the actual standalones? I don't think so. No VST instruments or FX on the standalones.

I believe Masada confirmed this.

Who is Pete Goodwill? And why is he telling people "they're rolling out as we speak" ?
:hmmm: :smoker: And that was 7 days ago!

Is it PSSL who has that coupon on the preorders?

Yep exactly!
I knew they weren't coming in January but first quarter hmmm that could be done. That could be March or April. Akai did have 3 years to work in it. Some where in this Akai is responsible

I think we should have the right to speculate since thats how this thread started no. Rumours or not, its stuff to decipher and debunct if necessary. Sellers I know have very strong ties with Akai and if they tell me March 1st, I'm gonna tell you March 1st. I told you will have official word on the 9th of Jan, even though no one believed me, it happened. So believe everything and the truth will arise sooner or later. Yall need to chill.

Danoc wrote:Oh so now you have changed your tune. The units can ship but without the OS. So it can operate in standalone! :WTF:

So they could roll out in March early April ESTIMATED!

Already seen an argument here about down loading the OS some said you can and sone said you can't. Not goung to get into that.

I loved how you ended it in "THIS HOW I SEE IT". Now let me ask you did you get that from Akai? Let me answer that for you, NO!

Why l said no? Because you just said "THIS HOW I SEE IT".
 :-D
Fanu wrote:And maybe this needs clarification: the units won't ship "with" the OS: it will be downloadable. That's why they can manufacture the units before 2.0 is fully done.
You'll just upload the software into the unit. This is how I see it.

Are you even trying to understand? The unit and 2.0 are two different things. Sure, one can't operate without the other (well, 2.0 can be run in a computer for sure), but it's not like they're manufactured by the same people or in the same place.
What you probably miss is that units rolling out of the factory does not mean 2.0 is done.
Pete has said units are probably rolling out now, which doesn't mean they've wrapped up 2.0.
I really can't explain it better than this to you. You either get it or not.

Danoc wrote:I loved how you ended it in "THIS HOW I SEE IT". Now let me ask you did you get that from Akai? Let me answer that for you, NO!

No. I did not get it from Akai. The Finnish distro, operated by a good friend of mine, did, and told me.
I could give you his email so you could verify this but I know you'd bomb him with tons of your sh*t.
I'll be the first dude in Finland to get a unit when they come out in any form, as we'll be doing demo videos for the Finnish stores as soon as a demo unit is sent. And they haven't come out yet, and we haven't been give a unit or a date yet.
By Eyalc Mon Feb 13, 2017 9:51 pm
Rolling out of the factories doesn't mean anything - doubtful they're heading to the stores - probably a central shipper waiting for Akai to release them to their intended location (store). And more than likely not before 2.0 is ready.

Given that it's sounding like the units will require an immediate update, some sub-2.0 OS is probably being put on them in the factory. Then when you receive, log in and download and update to the unit to 2.0. Not uncommon practice.

Keep in mind that "waiting for 2.0 to be finished" isn't just the actual 2.0 software - the mechanism for downloading, the installers, etc. All has to be tight. If every unit is going to require an immediate update, their servers are going to get pounded for weeks. Gotta make sure that system runs tight.

Stop! Just stop! You're all the way in Finland? Dude lm in the USA! The dates will be different for us Getting the products.

As far as Pete he never said "PROBABLY" thats you saying that. Now who is starting the rumors?

Verbatim Pete said:
@kejlabal Should be Q1. They're rolling out of factories as we speak

No l won't talk to who you talked to l'll just hit up Pete myself.

I will get to the bottom of it. I want to so l can be in target and get it from one of the stores when it drops. So naturally lm watching.

Thanks for explaing that. On that note seems like Pete wasn't clear on the ROLLUNG OUT part.

The question should of been rolling out to where and who.

Don't be the one to talk and don't come at me like that again!!! :fku:

I was asking Pete some relevant questions relating to the X/Live/2.0 and reporting them on this forum way before you joined this forum, my friend. Also sent a lot of criticism their way since 1.0 and made alternating loop happen, for example.

EDIT: Right, so that was directed at someone else. Anyways.
