Is it me, or do the newer Mpc's soud "too clean"?

OOO EEE did i just find me the retro gamers? I'm all about that! nes, snes, genesis and gba! I've been playing super metroid a bit on retroarch lately i dont have the cart either. wicked game. You ever play the castlevanias for gba?

Have thousands of ROMS on my Rasp Pi4 (in use as my old school gaming machine).

Also OG xbox, linux exploit, in use as a mame machine. Sounds clean too, like new mpc’s.

Yeah we got a damn Nintendo museum here. Only one missing is the WiiU which neither me or the misses have ever owned. Still wish I had my Genesis but they got a Genesis emulator on the Switch now hah.

Lampdog - Can you do that shit with an Xbox One? I got one just collecting dust since the Series X came out heh. I want that crystal clear Robotron soundtrack!!!

Woot woot @ the og xbox lampdog. i held on to mine as well. i got an xenium ice chip in mine and i upgraded the hd to 80gb. i still got the mech assault disk and exploit on the mem card and like 150 games i jipped from block buster lol. The good old days.

The Genesis version had crazy music, Tommy Tallarico did the score for it.

There are actual utilities online that'll allow you to dump Megadrive / Genesis sound banks into presets that you can play yourself as well. The Genesis has a YM2612 which is pretty similar to the DX7.

I do have some from when I was younger but I never physically owned Super Metroid or DKC 3. In 94 I had a cool device that sat on top of the SNES, loaded games off floppy disks. Would download games off dialup BBS', that's how I got Super Metroid.

I actually remember when I downloaded that game Februrary 94 and on the same day Saturday Night Slam Masters. Took like 40 minutes to download Metroid alone !

If you guys really want to get retarded with the console stuff, look up Mister FPGA.

Basically FPGA cores for cycle accurate 'simulation' (it's not emulation but basically a clone of the logic used in the original IC's) .. There's so many FPGA cores for it, Atari ST is cool so you can run Logic and have the same tight midi timing of the Atari ST on whatever you want. I believe the ST is only rivaled by the MPC 60 / 3000 for its timing.
