2.3 better feel like 3.0!

There's way too many requests for PDC and Sidechaining to go unnoticed. It's all over social media and forums the people want their sidechaining and their PDC, give the people what they want....

I don't see that happening because the CPU isn't powerfull enoufg to pull it off and it's also
linux based.

Not an expert, but I think Akai/inMusic could port their own VST instruments into standalone, the existing internal effects were originally VST plugins (the desktop versions all have a .vst file name at least). So, a linux port of some of the Air instruments and fx, obvious choice would be Hybrid IMO.

With that being said, if they could port their own plugins to standalone, couldn't they offer other developers the opportunity to port their plugins to standalone format?

Yes, but I think that would come down to money, ultimately the standalone MPC platform is very niche so I doubt many third parties would be willing to invest the time porting their products to such a tiny market.

They could implement JS language plug ins like Reaper. That would be a nice bonus.

The Live/X hardware isn't as fast as a modern laptop. It might not even be as fast as a 5 year old PC laptop... but it's certainly fast enough that it'll run a software synth at enough voices to be a great addition, especially if the integration with resampling/flattening was well done.

i'm searching for devs who can compile their VSTs to (linux) ARM hf
i didn't find any who's willing, but eventualy they will cause ipad/ipod/iphone/android uses mostly ARM processors
(the same as in the Live/X)
that's why i'm learning it myself - to be able to run VSTs on eurorack equipment

Huh, they say the Percussa is a quad-core A17... like the MPC Live... might even be the same chip.

Only thing that would really excite me about the upgrade is if it had FL Studio type Piano Roll implementation and a similar step sequencer to provide me with an alternative work flow when I hit a creative beat making block.

More music creation tools. In terms of the editing and mixing I will continue to use Pro Tools those enhancements probably wouldn’t matter much to me.
