Nothing will beat the speed and precision of << < > >>. So convenient to jump back/forth by bars or to start/end. Such a bummer that they were omitted. Yet another thing that makes me think, did they actually let pros have a say on the design…probably not.

Definitely a few more buttons are needed. I was griping at the fact of the lack of a dedicated sample button.

I understand your gripe, its like with this android Galaxy, when I type, I like to correct my spellings but trying to get to a sentence just to get to a word can be a bit of work with fingers like mine. My old android, I just move the cursor precisely to a word with the physical cursor buttons.

Wow a week or two for a quote isn't good - I would have the same opinion of them if that happened to me too.

People may do it different ways, but the way I do it, is I touch / select the time signature in the top right, then use the cursor wheel (bottom right) to jump to bars. Like Fanu said, I grew up with those transport buttons, so not having them there is a glaring omission. Is it a deal-breaker? No, but it's a pain to do it that way. When your hands are used to using the start, stop, rec, and transport buttons, it's a flow stopper to have to touch the screen to highlight the time then use the wheel to jump.

Yup. It is a regression. Going backwards. May look good on paper ("Hey, it's a touchscreen, they're not needed anymore"), but not great in actual use.

I Should be ok thats what the touch screen is for. So l can jump between bars and whatever else l need to do. I didn't ruleout the X. I will probsbly get it later.

Remember lm going to di lots of drums on that thing. I wint be doing entire tracks on it. Thats where my DAWs come in. Im not going to use the 2.0 for the PC.
For what l need to do l will be set.

Word up man! Me too. Im mobile in the house so its good for me. Laptop makes it so easy to move around the house. I still haven't opened up my i7 computer PC. I dred to put back in all the programs

Errr... it's an all-in-one mobile, battery operated sampler that does 10x more than any other standalone on the market. That alone is more than enough to justify its existence. Need more? Stick w/ PC & Controller solutions.

Live? Definitely not "10x" more, no way. Honestly, the MPC is pretty basic in the light of what's out there.
The standalone and touchscreen aspect are great, though, no doubt.
But there are other standalone samplers, e.g., Octatrack.

Download and install SwiftKey on your Android phone. All my cursor issues were solved once I did that. You'll thank me later.

What is this wizardry you speak of? This app is typing the words I'm thinking I know there are many words but it picks the exact word in my mind. Also the typing is freaking slick.
