MPC BETA TESTING.

Damn I wonder if its only for Live/X owners?? Im in the application Cockdiesel posted and one of the mandatory questions is what HARDWARE do you own.. Maybe that's why I didnt get it, I only have the Studio..

With the way they maintain their website Im not surprised I somehow got invited to the wrong beta test haha.

as an it professional with years of experience in testing and maintaining soft,
and all incentives (really no goodies whatsoever) waived, why should i invest my time, knowledge and creativity in upping InMusic goods?
+ they waive also all damage to your kit caused by mal beta if i read this right
(all above 50€ f f s!)
i know tutu from stockholm here on the board was a beta for AKAI for years & years, maybe he can shed light on to why he stopped with it...

Beta testing is always free…a free-time activity for those usually interested in the product and its betterment.
The "pay" you get is the new features before others.
So yeah, unpaid work(/fun) – only go for it if you *want* to do it…it's not like they're forcing anyone to do free work.

Been beta and alpha testing Ableton Live for years because I love the product and the company.

something like...give a few sentences for why you should be in the beta.
other than that they ask name, address, computer experience, skype name, facebook name, other production equipment you use...and some opinions on the best and worst things about mpc/force, whats confusing about it. thats about it

when they ask you what's frustrating about the software, everyone put "Lack of Plugin Delay Compensation."

That was the one thing I wrote too but I never actually submitted it because Im not so sure software folks are in on this one heh. The whole clause about being not responsible for damage in there makes me think theyre only testing the Live/X right now.

I would BETA test for them, if they write a WINDOWS 10 Drivers for the MPC 4000 and release the source code for the MPC 4000 OS. If they really want the best Beta and Q/A testing, they should pay for it.

Akai knows concerns about PDC. They chose not to handle it.

PDC, horrific browser, horrible realtime stretch, qlink parameter auto switch for all the screens instead of just the new installed plugins, update song mode (why can't you leave the song mode while it's playing?)

Uhhhhh you're beta testing for the wrong companies. In the 20+ years that I've been beta testing software, I'm always offered incentives to test. My time 'aint free - no one's time should be free, IMHO.

I understand that testers are offered a preview of things to come and to play with it, but that's work. That's valuable time I could be spending getting real work done or spending time with friends and family.

Why do that for free?

I rarely agree with CharlesRandolph because he's wrong most of the time , but this - THIS I agree with. Don't beta test for free.

Please don't agree with me, you invalidate my point. I don't get along with 20+ years of hobby mentality. I change my mind, everyone should Beta Test for free and pay companies to beta test.

Now that I know you Beta Test for Ableton, that's a sign for me to stay away from that Software DAW. Please let me know any other gear or software you beta test for. Who ever you are, hiding behind another artist's name.

Nevertheless, get paid for your time.
