I submitted this request when I was a beta tester back in 2012, but obviously it's not seen as a priority. Workaround is to create a separate sequence at the different tempo, chain it together in song mode. But then you can't convert it back to a sequence for tracking/exploding tracks/recording audio across seqeunces etc, because the converted sequence will just have the single tempo again.

Wow, you've asked for some basic DAW features in 2012 and still nothing? I was really hoping for a big update of fixes since I purchased this software a few months back.

The Song Mode is definitely the workaround here but as you say it has limitations. I'm here because I was hoping to find a workaround for song mode when there's a tail from a midi note or plugin at the end of SeqA leading into SeqB, I don't want the tail to just stop abruptly, you want it to play into the next sequence... obviously.. :(

Midi notes do carry through from the end of one sequence into the next...

There are no scenes in the MPC, it's sequences and you can do tempo change by creating a song which is a chain of sequences.

If i can do it in arranger mode by drawing BPM automation? I feel like i got this, thanks a lot!

segments themselves can have a different tempo. not the most convenient way to change tempo though. automating that parameter on mpc would be a welcome addition.

There is no BPM automation, you have to use sequences then the song mode to enable tempo changes between sequences.

I didn't want to make a new topic so I searched through the forum.

I purchased the Renaissance in 2013 and MPC live in 2018 but i just realized, i always knew i could arrange different tempo sequences in song mode but,

Is it still not possible for me to convert to seq with temp changes? I want to be able to use the advantageous explode track feature but I'm pretty sure it's greyed out when I convert a song to one sequence with tempo changes.

For example, if my beat is now "done" and I want to send it to have it mixed.
Is my only option to track explode every sequence that has a tempo change? :(
