I solved it a couple of days after I posted my issue here and I thought I'd share in case somebody on the internet has the same issue as I did.
Turns out the autorun download I was given the first time was probably not meant for my machine, the MPC One. The autorun in question was about 8Gb big and that was weird because the One has only 4Gb of internal memory. I got a different link with a 2ish Gb autorun and that one worked like a charm.
