Oh yeah l would if l were you. Its so simple to use and its only going to get better. $59 you can't beat that. Only thing Unify doesn't work in Reason. Now that 11.2 is out with midi put it might work. I use Unify in Studio One, then bring the audio and midi files over to Reason and go. But lma down load 11.2 today and see if Unify works in it.
Peace

I only use reason rack anyway. I do the majority of my work with the MPC X.
Speaking of Reason, this is a dope disappointment. I was hoping for something more, but it's still dope...

In before Charles and Lampdog shut this thread down since it has zero to do with the MPC X, Live or One. :lol:

But yeah, 11.2 is awesome - that new Beat Map Player is awesome. The fact that they included it in the free 11.2 update for 11.x owners was a massive solid.

Man I forgot I even bought Reason 11, i'm going to install it today. Midi out plugin now in plugin mode is really some A + level stuff. I'm not sure about Beatmap, seems a little "make my beat for me". But i'm going to try it out.

For a such a customer centric company they screwed some people over with the Reason 11 launch. If you pre ordered Reason 11 standard upgrade at $129 you had to pay another $249 for the Suite 11 upgrade, there is no discount.. If you waited until release day Reason 10 users could get Reason 11 with Suite for $249 straight.

I really wish this would fix that, current users should be offered suite at discounted price. Even Akai offer's their "suite version" of the MPC software at a discount,

Myself, I'm not a huge fan of algorithmic generative beat machines, but Beat Map is pretty bad ass. It also comes with a massive selection of presets and song starters, some of which are pretty damn cool. I mean, for a free Player (for 11 owners) - it's hard to be mad about it. But yeah, give it a play with. Curious to hear what you think.

@Danoc...

Been playing with the BeatMap... a super quick idea that I wanted to try was loading it up and patched to Redrum. This allowed me to load my own samples quickly, and then drop some random breaks. Sure they are not the real thing... but I recorded the output of a few breaks from the Lava map, and I have to say it was pretty fun to then chop up and make something fun.

I think those that are looking to put in the time to make their own kits and explore the map/density a bit will be able to get some rewarding royalty free breaks to play with.

My 2 cents :P
