All automation lanes are clear... I even opened the auto panel added a mute lane and drew in mute off all the way thru the sequence. I did do a reset, and this is my third time starting a new project and getting to this point on this chop I've been trying to work on. I was hoping there was a way to flash back to the old firmware as I didn't have this issue before I updated t 2.7.2, and actually got a song done .... also if I just record bass, and do nothing else there is no issue with the audio track.

Can you zip the project folder and share it ?
I'll try it on my device. Maybe if a few others do we can get to the bottom of the issue.

Yes, there is a way. Log into your Akai account and submit a tech support request. They can send you the previous 2.7.1 firmware to see if that fixes your issue. Additionally, they can send you the default factory restoration image which also might fix your issue. Worth trying the software fix route before returning your MPC.

Switch BPM from Master to Sequence (Enter the right BPM.) That should fix the issue. The Audio Tracks are tied to the Sequence BPM not the Master Sequence. I was able to reproduce it, so there's no need to return it, because it's not the same hardware issue the LIVE had.

I should work for Tech Support. But that's a bad idea.

Them: My MPC won't turn on.
Me: Did you pay your light bill?

Them: My MPC won't sample.
Me: Don't sample unless you clear it.

Them: I'm a first time MPC USER.
Me: Stop right there, read the manual then call back.

Them: I lost all my projects.
Me: Why didn't you make 3 back ups.

Them: I have a MPC 5000.
Me: Why did you buy a MPC 5000? Bad idea.

Them: Can the MPC LIVE produced that classic MPC Swing
Me: That's not swing, you're just off beat and have poor timing.

#FIRED!

Them: Who is Roger Linn?
Me: Ask Dave Smith.

Them: My MPC has water damage.
Me: Stop licking it

Them: How do I save my music?
Me: "More deleting and less saving" Common

Akai Pro: How many times do we have to fire you?
Me: You can't.
Akai Pro: Why not?
Me: I work for Roland.
