Yes, iPad bluetooth MIDI working fine, both input and output.

Already had USB to MIDI working previously (using a Roland Rubix, but I believe it works with any USB to MIDI adapter), but wanted to see if I could bypass that and just use USB, especially as the MPC One owners don't have the bluetooth option.

Could you explain your process in order to make it work?
I’ve tried with my iPhone SE ios 12 with no success with Model 15 Moog App.
I can’t see the iPhone in the midi list and I can’t see the MPC in the Bluetooth device of the Model 15 prefs either.

Go to Bluetooth page in MPC and turn on.
In iPad, go to settings > Bluetooth. Mpc should appear in list, hit connect.

In Mpc, the iPad shows as a midi in and out device. In the iPad app go to settings and select the MPC as midi in (or midi out).

Thanks for the reply but it doesn’t work. Here’s the step and messages:
1. I switch on the bluetooth on my iPhone
2. I switch on the bluetooth on the MPC live
3. In "Available devices", I can hit PAIR for my iPhone
4. the iPhone ask me "Bluetooth Pairing request "43:39:00:00:1F:AC" would like to pair with you iPhone. Confirm that this code is dispaly on "43:39:00:00:1F:AC" with a code
5. If I hit Pair on the iPhone, I get an error message "Failed to connect to iPhone SE NR. Please check you device and try again"
6. I hit ok. and strangely the iPhone is now on the list of Paired device but is NOT connected
7. I have to hit connect on the iPhone or iPad to switch to Connected
8. If I go to MIDI/Sync in the prefs, nothing appears in the IN or OUT

Any ideas, why?

I'll see if I can pry my son's iPhone away from him long enough to see if I can get it to connect, perhaps it's an iPhone only issue.

Okay, just tried my son's iPhone 7 running the latest 13.4.1, no joy I'm afraid. On initial pairing attempt it says 'failed to connect' but then I hit connect in the iPhone and then connect in the Live it does connect on both devices. However, the iphone does not appear in the MIDI/Sync page and hence cannot be selected as a MIDI input or output device.

I also deleted the ipad from the MPC Live and removed the MPC Live from my iPad and re-paired to double check. The iPad displays a pairing code but no option to add this in the MPC, it fails but then, as with the iPhone, hitting 'connect' again is successful, iPad appears in the MIDI/Sync page as before and is working 100% in the tested app (Model D).

This is a standard iPad 6, not the pro. Running iPadOS 13.4.1

I can't think why the iPhones won't connect in the same way as the iPad, other than a bug in the MPC firmware.

I'll charge up my old iPad 3 later and see how this fairs.

Okay, tried paring the iPhone again and after the initial fail I have the iPhone listed in MIDI/Sync. Can't get Garageband to even see it as a 'Bluetooth LE MIDI device' though, just not listed in the list of available MIDI devices. Garageband does see and connect to my Korg Microkey 2 Air no problem.
