Did you read the question?

1. Is it my ears but Convertors sounding worse than Akai Force and Akai MPC-X. Your thoughts please?
ANSWER: IT'S HIS EARS.

2. Where is the music?

Did you ever hear about technical specifications?
Why do you want to hear my music?
I don't like you so I am not going to tell you where you can listen to it.
End of the story.

ok, in the manual are all specs for all the new mpc models, turns out, live and one are specwise the same, x is different

mpc one master outputs 1 and 2:

Dynamic Range 113 dB (A-weighted)THD+N 0.002% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS)Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.5 dB) Maximum Input Level+9 dBuSensitivity 51 Ω

mpc live master outputs 1 and 2:

113 dB (A-weighted)THD+N 0.002% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS)Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.5 dB) Maximum Input Level+9 dBuSensitivity 51 Ω

mpc x master outputs 1 and 2:

Dynamic Range 114dB (A-weighted)THD+N 0.006% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS)Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.2 dB) Maximum Input Level+20dBuSensitivity 51 Ω

Have you?

Can't trust anything you say, Frisbi or ibsirf?

You don't know me and you don't like your music. Didn't you say, that you're leaving and not coming back after you had, your first hissy fit.

Great.
So master output in Live and One is exactly the same while there's a very slight difference on X one (i guess unnoticeable).
What about converters?
I cannot find anything on internet or the manual.

Thanks for answering. Much appreciated.

Honestly, what the hell you want from me?
Move along.
I don't like cops and I exactly do what I want and say what I want to say.

and this is for the force:

Dynamic Range114 dB (A-weighted)THD+N 0.003% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS) Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.2 dB) Maximum Output Level+20 dBuOutput Impedance51-ohm

So, to sum it up:

Specwise, the One and Live seems the same, X and Force are both different. If you look at the link on page one you can see the name of the converters of the Live:

quote:
The last two are an AKM AK4621 CODEC, which handles the input and the main output; and an AK4413 4-channel DAC, which give the extra pairs. The two chips have slightly different characteristics, and, indeed, the specs in the MPC manual also provides different specs for the different pairs.
endquote

Don’t know if that work has been done for other mpcs..

Force:
Dynamic Range114 dB (A-weighted) THD+N 0.003% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS) Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.2 dB) Maximum Output Level+20 dBuOutput Impedance51-ohm

mpc one
Dynamic Range 113 dB (A-weighted)THD+N 0.002% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS)Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.5 dB) Maximum Input Level+9 dBuSensitivity 51 Ω

mpc live
113 dB (A-weighted)THD+N 0.002% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS)Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.5 dB) Maximum Input Level+9 dBuSensitivity 51 Ω

mpc x
Dynamic Range 114dB (A-weighted)THD+N 0.006% (1 kHz, -1 dBFS)Frequency Response20 Hz –20 kHz (+0.0 / -0.2 dB) Maximum Input Level+20dBuSensitivity 51 Ω

The Difference:

.004% to .003% in THD,
1 DB in Dynamic Range
.3 db variance is frequency response.

Truth:
99.9999% of Human ears can't/won't know the difference.

FRISBI / LUMI:
Where is the music?

Yeah I am reading.
Well, the differences anyway are very slight between X/Force and One/Live.
Almost the same at the end.
I am reading both links (great links by the way) but it doesn't talk about converters.
I suppose they are the same in all devices.
So I suppose Akai standalones all sound the same, apart from the very slight output differences of X/Force

yeah well, I think specwise there is nearly no difference, but this also means that the chips are different models and there might be an esoteric difference in the sound characteristic. I have two portable flac players which are also close to each other specwise but they have different sound characters (also with flat eqs and so on)..so yes some hear it some don’t as you enter audio coverter terretory things get esoteric^^

Ahah esoteric.
Yeah, I was just curious about the question.
Same esoteric as people who use gold cables and the sort.
I was just wondering if cutting the price to make One affordable meant also making it less performative.
But so I think the answer is no, if we are not esoteric.
I am happy with my Live outputs anyway, I like how they sound. I tend to think they sound punchy and detailed compared to what I was used with computer audiocard (I had a motu before).
Maybe this is also esoteric.
But it sounds good anyway.

I think so as well regarding the live. Last week I took it to a friend for jamming and he owns a analog rhythm and a octatrack and to me they sounded really thin compared (esoteric wise^^)...well yeah I saw something on youtube about a japanese guy, who lived in a tiny room and has spend all of his money on maximum expensive speakers and a turntable..and that guy even has a direct feed from the high voltage powerlines directly into his apartment, because it sounded better(thats what he said^^) things get wierd on high end audio stuff lol

Ahah yeah.
My friends record their music on a tape machine and from there to a computer.
I always thought that it was useless, but they pretend it makes the synth sounds richer.
I don't know, I also think this is esoteric but maybe it has a sense, but I will not do it.
And also this analog/digital debate in 2020 for me is useless, and it is esoteric to think analog will sound always better then digital.
In 2020, digital is at the same level in my opinion, maybe 20 years ago the debate had sense but not anymore.
And it depends which digital device and which analog device you talk about.
A lot of esoterism.

Thing like Room Acoustics do help, but at some point it psychological. Especially when dealing with things that can't be measured. With these MPC's, 99.9999 won't be able to tell the difference between machines. The only thing I care about now, is does the music sound good.

Take a great cellist and give them a million dollar cello or a $7000 cello and have them play it. It will sound great, because the musicians playing and tuning. The question is does the cello sound different and the answer is yes. Because the Million dollar Cello is probably 200+ years old and sound characteristics tend to change over time.

The real question is, who buys the MPC for their world re-known A/D to D/A convertors?
