MPC X Crashes when copying notes

To the OP.

1. I created a 16 bar loop.
2. Went to the select tool and Selected all the notes and pressed shift then clicked copy.
3. Changed the bar count to 32 bars
4. Selected the icon with pointer and hour glass
5. Put the time line cursor to Bar 17, pressed shift, then press paste.

Did it with a drum program, keygroup program, and midi program. No issues, everything is pasted right on time. So I increased the Bar count to 64, and did the same thing as I listed above, except for moving the Bar to Bar 32 and again no issue.

As @Lampdog said, try to reset your machine or update the OS again and then reset.

The bar count is above. 8 Bars is the total. The timeline is Bar 6 - Beat 1 - Tick 188

But these MPC only go to 999 bars. Click the Bar and try to enter 1000, it won't let you. It will only let you enter 999 bars.

If you read my post I wrote that that was in 2018 in firmware 2.2.1. and hasn't happened since. So I can't take photos of it, shame I didn't take a video of it.

I know the 999 max, that is the reason I reported this as a bug and got contacted by tech support. It doesn't matter what the Bar and playhead numbers say, that unexpected sequence length happened because of the bug. Pressing undo took several seconds to react and it went back to 8 bar long. Pressing copy after the bug happened, doubled the bar count for a few times becoming even more sluggish until it crashed.

I did read it, but I missed the EDIT part. But that is odd alright, but the systems crashing, so expecting any thing to happen. I've had a sampler crash on me and before I turn it off, every sound played in reverse.

Nevertheless, I can't reproduce the OP's crash on the MPC One. Maybe, he's hitting a certain button combinations that causes it. Are you able to reproduce it on the LIVE?

I use copy button, shift+copy and copy events through main page quite extensively and haven't had crashes related to them. It's rare in these recent firmware versions to even get it to crash. Can't say anything about controller mode stability.

I've had a sampler crash on me and before I turn it off, every sound played in reverse.

I have a Virus TI2 and when powering it up, it sometimes swaps all the outputs L&R channels. Wonders of digital glitches!
