Perhaps another option would be to install some kind of tinted film over your screen? I believe you can get non-adhesive tinted window film which you could just cut to size. This way you can continue to update the firmware.

Something like this?

Sorry man - that sucks. I have dry eyes too - I usually just throw some Blink tears in mine every so often and I'm good to go. https://www.justblink.com/products/blin ... -eye-drops

Between 2.8 and 2.9.1 you get:

  • Proper Multi-MIDI support (this is *HUGE* in general)
  • USB Class Compliant MIDI input and output support (this is *HUGE* in general)
  • ProTen audio time-stretch algorithm (this is *HUGE* for MPC users)
  • Q-Link overlay
  • Timing Correct (TC) has now been tweaked to have a dedicated On/Off setting that is separate to the TC division parameter.
  • From the standalone MPC firmware you can now create a custom note mapping for any program type.
  • You can now send MIDI from one track to another to layer two or more sound generators (think: Reason rack Combinator).
  • Pad Perform settings now apply in Main Mode
  • Retrospective Record
  • create your own progressions
  • copy pads between drum programs.
  • The new DrumSynth plugin in standalone
  • A metric shit ton of stability and reliability fixes

what was that red dot next to the track for?

You mean above the "auto" button? That's to arm your track for recording...

Also i can clearly say: startup pads animation on Force is toooo brigt. Any time i power on the apparatus, i I have to turn away or need to close eyes. Yes, often i am workin in a dark room, but it is really aloud light no need to be. This lightshow is like laser for eyes )
