Knock Knock! I suddenly am having this EXACT SAME ISSUE and it seems to have happened out of no where! Long story short, I've owned my MPC X for years and have NEVER ran into any issues when using my AKAI MPK 225 midi keyboard with my MPC X in standalone mode. It was just working a couple hours ago no problem! Out of seemingly no where, now my MPK 225 is not triggering my plugins on my MPC X! Just like the OP said, the MPC is obviously detecting my MPK because every time I press a note on my MPK you can see the midi information light up at the top of my MPC screen. You can also see all the midi information in the midi monitor window! Someone else stated that they believe the issue has something to do with an effect they loaded into their effects screen and I also believe that's where my issue occurred! I added a AIR-STUTTER effect to a plugin and ever since then my MPK is not triggering any sounds whatsoever! I turned off my MPK, turned off my MPC, turned both back on and the MPC X is still failing to make any sound when I press notes on my controller. I also ejected my Samsung T5 USB hard drive and reconnected it to see if maybe the hang up was there and the problem still persists! The reason I believe it's a glitch or bug that has to do with the effects is because I honestly never bothered with adding effects to any other project I've made on my MPC. Just seems weird that it happened only AFTER adding a AIR-STUTTER and a HALFTIME effect to the HYPE plugin where I have a melody playing. Everything else with my MPC X seems perfectly fine. I'm really hoping someone has found out why this is happening? I'm quite literally losing my mind over this right now! I'm going to connect a different midi keyboard I have and see if the problem continues. I also need to open another project and see if the problem is only with this specific project or not. I'll update my comment in a few minutes with more details.

EDIT - I also removed both the effects (AIR-STUTTER & AIR-HALF TIME) and the problem still remains.

When I open a different project the MPK 225 is triggering the notes perfectly fine. The problem seems to only be with this specific project! That makes me feel a little bit better, but I'm still a bit annoyed as to what the heck occurred and why this is even happening? Someone please help!

PROBLEM FIXED!!!!!!!! --
Well. I guess I'm just a mother f----- MORON! After spending the last two hours troubleshooting you know what the problem ended up being? Apparently the little red circle with the black dot in the center of the red circle (looks like a record button?) was NOT ENABLED for whatever reason and this made it to where the MPK 225 would no longer producer anymore sounds! I realized that light was NOT lit up when I went to the "track view" screen! Once I pressed that button my keyboard is now perfectly fine! So to the original poster, I 100% felt your pain! But I honestly believe that is probably the issue you were facing as well! I've never once bothered pressing that (what looks like is a record button?) before and never had a reason to press it! Apparently I hit that at some point and turned it off without realizing it? Thank god! I was over here literally about to have a complete mental breakdown!
