No we've been through the history, it was Dan Gill on Gearspace back in 2019 or so, he said something like 'that would have to be a 3.0 thing' with regard to disk streaming and moving to a Force-like track model.

The overall business model seems to have progressed since those days, they can see there's no need for that kind of 'major version' update model when they can instead just keep nickle and diming bits and pieces over time.

The 3.0 obsession needs to stop, just like the MPC Mini obsession which has now been completely debunked yet people on social media are still wondering when it's going to be released.

The 'obsession' should be for akai to fix all the outstanding bugs and finish off all the half baked existing features.

That’s right, I remember now. Thx

And I agree that the business model has changed and seems to be working. I don’t have lot of faith they’ll fix the major bugs when people keep buying the same piece of gear over and over even with all the known bugs. I know I’m a broken record but their newest mpc (before 37) can’t even have an Sd card connected in controller mode without crashing. It’s wild. I’m actually surprised they included the SS card slot on the 37 since you’ll need to be in controller mode if you want to use multiple tracks of the mpc instruments (and why wouldn’t you since it’s a workstation)

Yeah I'm getting discouraged by the whole thing. I love my live II but they could tighten up many issues but refuse to. They just keep adding new devices and plugins instead of fixes and enhancements. 3.0 is a complete joke to bring up at this point. NAMM 2024 has come and gone

I have noticed a massive speed up in the folder and search section. I have a folder filled with 1000's of mp3 LPs that I sample and it use to take at least a few minutes to populate before I could scroll through it without it being laggy and jumping as I scroll.. Now it loads within a few seconds. I mean there's loads wrong with the MPc software but it's a noticeable difference.

I don’t watch or pay attention to many vids anyway, but, every now and again I give vids another chance and this shyt happens all over again.

I brought his MPC 1k DVD back in 2005 & it was decent. Kinda corny but helpful. So it sad to see him like that now. :( :smh:

Tried the Auto load function - yay it works - two things...

1. 'Last Saved' should be an option for the auto load

2. Updated, set autoload project, function working.

Working on a new song, volumes have gotten a bit out of wack, turn everything to 0 in the mixer window, bring the kick back up...randomly not playing the complete sample on some kicks.

Hmm bad update me thinks...rewind OS to 2.12.3.

Still does the autoload function, but now no options are available to choose which project to autoload...

F**k it. Im going to the movies and i'll futs with this more later.

Peace.

No surprise, reset preferences was the fix, all behaviour as expected and all kicks sounding post volume editing.

Went and saw Iron Claw, can recommend.
