nah... don't count on them - there is one more small $20 plugin coming though

Xpand (v1 ?) is already in the firmware - despite several attempts, never figured the directory name /structure to at least enable it (getting hold of Xpand.big content file is a different story)

Had anyone got this to work yet? Is it good? I bought it but don't see it on the mpc, no update or anything yet?

it has been included in the firmware since several months already (2.14) - just get hold of skins content:

EDIT:
all plugins are embedded directly into main executable so versions prior to 2.14 won't have that plugin, make sure you're on the latest one.

So this thing doesn't appear under the plugins menu? I purchased it about 12 hours ago... still don't see it.

Did you purchase it under the same email account that you have your MPC registered to? If so, go to your account on Akai's website (link below) and verify that your serial is registered to your account. If it isn't there, then you should have gotten an email with your product serial. Register that in the InMusic Software Center or MPC Desktop Software. Or, you can register it on your standalone MPC but it's a major PITA to type it in with that touch keyboard as opposed to just copy/paste from an email.

You might also try switching from standalone to Controller Mode and back as well, and maybe log out of your account on your MPC and log back in - and hit "Refresh".

you need to download it's content via activations menu or via direct link I posted earlier.
The way plugins work in MPC is that each plugin check if a specific directory with its name exist in a "Synths" folder. If such directory exist then the plugin become "visible" for the user. This way you can make all of the plugins (released and unreleased ones) visible in plugins menu but obviously you won't be able to use the ones without licence.

My issue is being able to see / locate the standalone version directly on the MPC. I can see that it's definitely showing up in the "your registered products" section on the inMusic site... but it doesn't show up as an option under the activations menu on standalone. Yikes!

Are you on the latest firmware? 2.14?

For anyone having problems with the plugin not showing on hardware… Put your MPC in to controller mode and back again to refresh the plugin list (doesn’t have to be connected to anything).
