Dammm! Well l never had the software so l would never know. If they are lame l will stick with my DAW effects. They were garbage for 2000XL also.

They will be the same as the effects in the current mpc software. Which are nothing special.

I agree with you for most part but you would think Akai could step up their efx game at least a little. It's 2017 and they still just repackage the same efx they've had since the 5k

I know this may complete fantasy of the highest degree, but I'd love to see them team up with some good plugin company to revamp their plugs a little bit.

Roland's FX are so good. The Mv and Vs lines were my bread and butter.

Definitely Roland effects are dope. When I had the VS 880 those effects were off the chain! My Yamaha O1v and the Yamaha O2R had great effects, the Reverbs, halls all that were dope. I used those faithfully. So I know the MV8800 Effects are dope. The MV8800 is a dope machine, period. I just didn't get into it because I was content with the 2000xl. The Triton Rack had dope effects too. But I know Akai's effect were garbage especially for 2000xl.

I was rocking the Boss Dr-5 drum machine and the VS880 and that thing rocked, my brother still have two VS880's and they work very well! No one can say the effects were wack on the VS, if they do then either they are lying or don't know what they are talking about.

Definitely there is no HDMI port, but I wish they would of did that, you could add any size screen to your joint. That would of been Dope! The MV8880 has that! But in VGA, DVI or HDMI is best now, much more crisp and clear.

I was feeling that beat in this vid, thanks for this find.

I noticed one of the sound hits had an echo on it, sounded good to me, I am not going to talk down on Akai's effects in the Live or X until I can actually rock it myself and tweak them, then I will say if they are wack or not while in stand alone. If he is using the 2.0 software in the computer then.... But I will check it out when I get it.
