Doesn't surprise me one bit…that's total Akai for you. Just like disabling comments on videos.

This seems to be a common trend amongst many of the companies owned by inMusic Brand. I personally have had posts edited or completely 'hidden'/removed from the new Denon DJ forum. Akai has definitely deleted/removed posts. I do know how to respectfully illustrate my point of view without colorful language or name calling. It does NOT matter to inMusic Brand. Any critical comments directed at inMusic products or the company itself have the potential to be 'hidden', edited and/or removed.

Heavy moderation and censorship does nothing to improve a product or the reputation of a company. Open discussion and user feedback is critical to a product/company's success!!

When my boy told me the Ren was glitchy l didn't buy into it. Im glad. I wanted a new standalone with modern capabilities.

So you're upgrading to R9 huh? Thats a good look. The new RV7000Mkll convolution reverb is dope as hell! Players is crazy dope, pitch correction is like Melodyn you will love that. And the SSL 9000k in that is sweet. Time stretch is on point l use it a lot. Sounds are better too. Props give you 1,000 new sound but third party companies sound really dope.

This is stinking of Ren launch 2.0. I was so glad I didn't buy the Ren after seeing the **** show that ensued.

After I bought the MPC Studio and had an absolute nightmare of a time with the MPC software I swore to never buy Akai again, but I broke that promise with this pre-order. Now that I have had time to think I am going to wait and see what the competition drops and just leave it until I am sure the hardware & software is worthy of the $$.

Unfortunately I sold my Maschine for this, ah well typical Akai, zero **** given for their customers...

Can't stress this enough or agree more.
You need people's opinions and honest, often brutal feedback for the betterment of any service or product.
Blocking comments is yet another thing reinforcing the notion that Akai don't give a sh1t about what you want or think.
They're definitely not a "let's build this together" company in the least. They're totally doing their own thing, and not in a good way.

Also, why is this especially bad? Well, they don't care if somethings not good with the product, or at least the chance of them getting back to you about it is slim to none.
I heard MPC 5000 was left in a half-assed state. So when the new units and 2.0 come out...if there's something not good about them, you can be voicing your opinion on it to them all you want, but they'll never be a nice, responsive company addressing your concern...no way in hell. Not Akai.
Their silent treatment policy is annoying as f0ck in every way.

I'm a bit disappointed that the release date has been moved back but in still glad that Akai announced the Live back in January.

If they hadn't I more than likely would have ended up buying a toraiz.

Akai listened to the public by releasing a standalone MPC and I'm grateful for that.

Hopefully it gets released soon though, although I won't be cancelling my preorder.

When i pre ordered it was $1399, now its $1599.
Mpc Live in Australia.

When it arrives I might just go into the store and set it up in there, then spend a few hours in store just playing around (take in a usb drive full of samples). If its a buggy mess then I will just not take it home.

If it is good I will buy.

For now I will just grab Reason9 update.
