So JAH remains a betatester and they cut you out. Seems you gotta force these MPCs on people aggressively and insult them to stay on the team

I'm sure there's many very experienced guys here on the forum.

It's just that, if I'm to pick one thing (out of many), there's no way things like not being able to disable a plugin (like it was for a while with 1.x) could ever go live if there was 1) people saying that just doesn't make sense and 2) a competent team hearing that.
Or lack of PDC.
Or lack of alternating loop.
Etc etc.

You need a team of dudes who have been doing it for a while to make a few beats, because the heavy users will root out the bugs and lack of major features etc.
This is how it happens with Ableton…lots of people, a whole lot of communication, a beta forum, a lot of dedicated people etc.

I find it funny that 2 of the beta testers post on a competitor's forum...

Maybe it's part of Akai's marketing?

And claiming that this site is an unofficial Akai site. Ok thats granted, but we got info for all MPCs. Akai's "official" site has no info of legacy gear like MPC3000 or the S series or even the Z series.

Must be me but before this beta testing of these new MPC's I've never heard about Jah or Massada.. Never even heard about all those artists they've used in the promotion/teaser videos during the first announcement..

In the end the only thing that counts is that the MPC's are bug free..

Once I'll get my 'X' I won't have time to look at non of their videos (Akai/Beta testers)..

I will kindly thank them for their effort and go deep into the Lab.

Real MPC user know that this forum is their home.. Most of the time it's guys who start to get cocky. Just because they've got some knowledge about various mpc's they start to act that way..

Everyone that spends a fair amount of time to get to know their device will someday turn into a guru..

Maybe Akai (inMusic Brand) prefers to only deal with people that subscribe to their particular philosophy, 'forum culture' & viewpoints. Perhaps they don't need (or want) suggestions to help improve their products.

Personally, I value freedom of speech, open discussions & constructive criticism. If that means posting & connecting with people here instead of the so-called 'official' Akai forum then so be it!

The brutal truth is always the best. I don't think InMusic plays that game, though.

Me too, I aint cancelling shit, I finally got a decent price at $1019.00 from B&H. Though I wanted it $939.00 like Thomann was offering but thats good enough for me. If I cancel now, I may never get it that low for a long while. **** aftermarkets, I like my shit brand **** new.

I'm in w/ B&H, too. Sadly, they're pretty standoffish when it comes to being your "personal sales reps". You get a pretty generic response when you ask for an ETA..

But I've had good luck w/ B&H, so I stick with them.

Let's keep each other posted if we glean any updates from B&H.

yeah man, its like they expect you to read their minds when you talk on the phone. I was pretty much answering my own question for the guy, who was quiet for the whole sha-bang. But I like B&H, they get exclusive gear and got good service for cancellations and refunds, never a hassle.

So far, I see their March 13th date for the Live is down. But they sent me two backorder notices already, I know they keep a tight ship for releases so their dates are 99% reliable.

Man keep your jount man you got a good price. You basically got 200 off.

Ima look at PSSL and B&H. I can walk into B&H. Its in new york city.
