I will be installing mines tonight, yeah let us know how it goes bro and other things you find.

Only went through options, I notice there is a toggle to select a different time stretch algorithm. You can’t select another choice though. The default option is the current one mpc “less intensive”.

@ kaydigi

It was already like this even on 2.3
Akai didn't give us the new Force stretch algorithm, not very kind

Just wrapped up the workday and installed the 2.4 software; haven't tested anything else but Air Maximizer in master limiting and a quick test says it's worthless in master limiting :/ Gotta test a bit more but that was how I felt in a really quick test against UAD Precision Maximizer (which isn't even the best of limiters but Air isn't doing so hot in comparison). But will test a bit more. Seems the Maximizer generates latency in software at least (which isn't surprising of a limiter).

Any new FX options available to use X/Y with?

Tested with another beat on the master…it's worthless.

Well a limiter will always create latency, it works with lookahead.

Yes. Couldn't get decent limiting out of it even after trying to adjust parameters.
One'll get a better rudimentary limiting end result by just raising the level on the master and using the vintage models, which, iirc, do some sort of clipping. Best to do the final mixing (esp. limiting) with proper 3rd party plugins anyways.

Looking fwd to testing the other Air plugins…so, sorry if I appeared negative!
Was just stoked about the idea of a decent built-in limiter for a second.

It's great on standalone but the software has a couple things I need to point out.

Waves plug-ins take longer to load (instant in 2.1, About 45 sec in 2.4)

No GUIs for the air effects in the software, just a box with red rectangles but the GUIs are present on the hardware.

No hybrid 3 presets and can't find them anywhere.

Anybody else have the same issues or wanna add on?

Forgot to add, I upgraded from 2.1 to 2.4! 2.3 gave me plug-in probs so I rolled back. Haven't done more plug-in testing on 2.4. Been exclusively working in standalone mode as of late

Noooooo!

Last night in 2.3 I threw Waves either Tape or Vinyl on my master bus just because, and it took maybe 10-15 seconds.

Q link button hold (Mpc Live), menu option to change Q link mode is now gone? Anyone seeing this? Why is this gone ? EEERRR!!! I have to menu dive to change Qlink mode and mixer parameters now? What gives? , damn I already hated the mixer, and this was an acceptable way to NOT to go to the mixer!!!
