Do you mean the menu option at the bottom to select PROJECT, PROGRAM, PAD SCENE, SCREEN etc? Yes, that's gone, it looks like they've decided to just keep the current page's menu buttons there instead. You now have to hit the green QLINK EDIT button at the bottom of the pop up.

Bad move....This update was about mixing. Having to menu dive to to change modes is unintuitive, I change modes often, this is killing my flow!!!

You know I get this feeling that I am being trained down a "one for all" flow path, where I am forced to learn something that just kills my creativity. It's what I just hate. If your going to take away a path that makes maneuvering easy, then give us Mackie control so that I am not stuck trying to learn something that is not intuitive. We are not all of a collective mind thought here! Goodness gracious Akai!!

Welcome back.

Thanks Lamp, I still check every now and then just I don’t post as much as I’m busier on the recording, mixing and synth side these days. I’m glad I got the mpc live though that x is looks nice I have no room and the 4K is in storage.

How to make room for your MPC 4000.

1. Use it as a table.
2. Get rid of your desk.
3. Buy a office just for the MPC 4000

I'm in the same situation with no room for my 4k. Love the live as I'm only into portable gear now. So I'll either have my Synthstrom deluge, TE OP-Z, Sp-404sx, or my Live when I'm at work or going to the bathroom 8)

I'm over here reading all the Akai Force and MPC 2.4 TMZ bug reports and eating  I've never seen so many people have issues. Is it the machine? Is it the people? Is it the USB cable? Up next on MPC DRAMA REPORT.

Just in, @FRISBI predicts a total debacle and mass human confusion, with Force Ableton integration. Beats will not be created and screens will not be touched. My sources say, that MPC LIVE & X, user will request refunds and demand they have Albeton and FL Studio full integration.

MPC X user will go on strike using nothing but five thousand dollar, SP1200 from ebay. The great beat depression of 2019 is upon us. Grab your floppy disk and back up. is optional.

Soon there will be tensions between Mpc and Force users.
Force users will accuse Mpc users of being nostalgic and conservatice while Mpc users will accuse Force ones of breaking the traditional rules of sequencing and will call it the decadence of good habits of music.
Mpc users will call Force users "Clip addicted rookies" while Force will call Mpc users "Sequencing nerds".
It will be a doom year, with war happening sooner or later between the two different worlds.

Beat ARMAGEDDON is upon us! MPC V. 3.0 marks the end and the release of the Roland MV9900. Convert all your files to wav and study your MPC BIBLE.
