It’s 100% AI. Most of the text is messed up and just gibberish . I think it’s generated with prompts from the picture of the box leak (which I believe to be real)

Like I said inmusic got us all talking free promo.. they would have to change the software again .. also will have to support legacy MPC's qlink setup. We could be wrong tho

My understanding of the origin of the AI picture, was that somebody took a real image I believe from a low quality picture taken at a guitar center (might be wrong), and tried to have AI upscale the low res/unreadable picture, which started this mess. I have seen what appears to be legit box images with far more details floating around the internet, that do look quite similar to the AI image... but appear far more real/legitimate. No obvious errors in newer images.

As for marketing... I mean people are so hyped up to be "first" to break a story, and so interested in drama farming... that yeah... it's almost like Akai doesn't have to do much to get people salivating, and going rabid to build up a story/narrative. We live in weird times.

Yeah I think the picture of the box in guitar center is real. The text is all accurate and you can’t get that with AI

The picture that jpeg posted is completely fake. But it was based on the real guitar center pic

the design ugliness is starting to wear off, but that shiny black plastic at the top like to original X is not good for finger marks and smudges.

I love how the pads aren't marked with the sectors like akai would totally do since its one of their largest new selling features. I like how the whole top interface has this whole *modular* component design without any logical sense because you wont be able to ever move it around or replace stuff with cv rack components like your moog... wtf.. everything about this is hoax.

it's like the dude went "crap they didnt believe my box art lets have ai do another mockup.."

FML it just hit me what it is... its shaped like an arturia microfreak lol. the ai didnt go far for geometry.

The only thing I was missing on the “legit version” of the box is the USB C port. Don’t know if the Live III box also specifies the CPU and RAM details and does it even mention the USB C port at all? Maybe someone with a Live III can let us know.

Thanks for sharing. This one does specify the USB C port for the Live III. So I can’t imagine Akai forgetting to specify the same for the flagship model. It’s weird.. :hmmm:

How yall feeling about the lack of mic?...I know why they put in the Live3, but it could've been kinda dope to just have an built-in mic so if you had an L3 & made some recordings you could get the same quality if you sold it for the XL or whatever.

I know it would increase the price but the people buying the XL should be in a position to afford it & that they also can afford better mics, but sometimes it may be a lower quality mic that gets the job done.

I think just it being there will encourage people to record stuff just because it's there & ready to go.

The MPC Live 3 is designed as a portable unit, so the mic decision makes more sense for recording/sampling on the go. In an MPC X, it's meant to be more of a studio device where folks usually have microphones at the ready.

I mentioned all that & gives reasons why it may still be nice to have.
