At the leak price of $1899 not bad for first Akai buyer.. but to add when u on recent MPC not for me..

Because you keep putting that part in it I'm going to buy the MPC X AND the MPC KEY 61 and send you my first BIG placement poster for your "NAY SAYERS" Wall Of Shame.

Can we let it hit the keyboard desk at Guitar Center Atlanta, Georgia USA first? :Sigh:

You have to apply. Simple process and they appear to acceptingoat applicants. If you're wanting early access to 2.11 then you'll not find it that way, however.

Thanks

"What? Are you serious? Still no disk streaming?'

"Still no Omnisphere in standalone?'

"Now it just needs this one more feature...xxxxx... and it will be perfect." (previous examples since the initial Ren/Studio release included 'audio tracks', 'synth plugins', 'standalone', 'touchscreen', 'expansion browser').

BTW, anyone remember when they released the MPC touch and it didn't even have 'program edit' for keygroups? 'Coming soon' it said when you hit the program edit button. How far we've come! Here's that MPC Touch review, couldn't even save a project from the hardware!

Yes, exactly. And to sum all that, every update since have been for FREE. I know Akai is not perfect, but 6 or 7 years since the touch got out and not a paid update. We should be glad that they included all this and still supporting the platform.

I remember when I bought my Live in january 2018.
No synths, no Air fx, basic rudimentary windows for editing, bugs everywhere, no automations, the Akai phasers and chorus had a bug and they made a noise on background.
It's been a long long road to the current Mpc.
It's really a new Mpc now compared to the one I buyed 4 years ago.
And all with free updates.
The improvements have been glorious.

I agree, they could stop updates there with the 2.11 and only focus on bug fixing I wouldn't be upset. But if they're willing to keep bringing new things why not give a little suggestion here and there in case they're reading. :smoker:

Plus updates are a great way to sell new units to people waiting for that special feature they can't live without, and AKAI definitely knows that.

The trend with digital is that.
You pay the device but also the development.
If the development is like the one of Mpc in these last 4 years, I am perfectly fine with that.
I mean, I payed for all the things they added and I am ok with that, at the end it was a great price.
Until they upgrade ram and cpu and we start again, but starting from an already high level.
I am happy that my money went to development, they made a great job.

Setlists = this is just a page containing shortcuts to directly load your favourite projects without having to manually browse for them on the disk. So tap on the project name and it loads that project (and as is currently the case, it will replace the existing project).

File management improvements have not been mentioned in any of the 2.11 previews. The Sounds browser is not a file manager, it's effectively a plugin preset browser.

Setlists are project shortcuts, so I guess this is a loose kind of file management improvement, but IMO 'file management improvements' should be things like file copy/paste, moving, sample library tagging and indexing etc. Many of these were originally promised for 2.0, but the focus now seems to be heading in a different direction (presets, fancy FX plugins etc).

Does anyone or a tester know if they will make internal program changes avalaible in 2.11 ?

With 8 plugin instance maximum, would be so useful to have the ability to send (from the list/ grid editor or from external controller) internal program changes message to plugin synths and fx .... you could make a real live rig using the plugins as sound engine + samples on one project ... Thanks for any hint
