no, wavejockey was referring to a technique in which you have an open feedback loop, into which you can insert other devices, like another delay for example. anyway, being a feedback lover i have to say that i much prefer to play with feedback on an analog mixer than inside a digital mixer\daw\in the box stuff. also because in digital you have to take into account the latency introduced by the digital path. even 1 ms of delay can drastically change the effectiveness of your feedback loop.
