Weird one this being pushed in the video and the press release. No new functionality or no new vintage FX, just a new graphic on a screen that already does nothing and offers no editing parameters anyway. Plenty of good stuff in the update, but this one just seems pointless.

Guys playing the full old school record before showcasing the beat just to chop the full 30 seconds on auto-chop and put boom bop (no swing drums on top) That's not creative. Beat makers are looking like jokers around here.

For starters, if the end product sounds dope, that’s all that counts. You can try to downplay other people’s stuff by chalking it up to “autochop” or effects, or whatever, but that’s some toy s£!¥ to say.

But let’s make it simple. 3 records.. right here and now. I’ll use nothing more than a 1010 Blackbox, and an OP-1. I’ll leave the dust cover on the ol’ MPC Live.
