Could we talk about the new MPC one?

In my opinion, not a bad machine but all in all more or less simply a missed opportunity to replace the Live with this plus 16 Qlinks (considering that the software is actually centered around 16 QLinks), second USB port (or internal SSD for HDD plus keyboard) and battery. I had the Live and found it too focused on the touchscreen. I looked at the X and found it simply too bulky for low key set ups...

I feel like it's a Great new for us : The proof that Akai is gonna develop its software some more time !! So come on Akai 2.95 is expected

- Pitch enveloppes and portamento on samples

- Loop start point different from pad start point !! also release of pad shoul play the sample afetr "loop end "point

- Multi Midi input for controlling on stage and live composing.

- Better next sequence mode, and better switching between sequences from main screen (instant / quantified / legato between sequences ) , easy adjustable loop points on each sequence

- An option to make Track and Pad mutes not being dependant on which sequence you activate it

- No Latency on audio input for real time mixing of external audio sources

- Some Open Source Plugin support

- Disk Streaming

Something to make real live Performance , not just press play and follow but to Play with our project in front of people

Yeah, I agree that the MPC One just reaffirms that we'll be seeing updates to the MPC Live/X firmware/software for some time to come. I'm totally OK with this.

It also reaffirms my choice of buying the Live in earlier 2019. Had the hardware been an upgrade to the MPC Live, I would have totally regretted my purchase.

Nice gateway for standalone, and clearly a response to the competitors other have mentioned. Keep it up, Akai!

Yeah at the end is good news for Mpc users.
I was hoping for a 4gb Ram Mpc but at least this means Mpc is still on the run.
So yeah, Akai keep it up!

the pads are confirmed smaller by accurate beats in his latest video.

This is great news as it implies years of development for the existing platform.

I wish the Live had a few more shortcut buttons, but all in, I'm still satisfied with the Live, particularly if we get more softsynths, a better way to arrange songs, and disk streaming...

Disc streaming is a must along with the hype synth ported over.

I like the design/layout. Q links on the left would have been better. I just wish it was this layout with a battery (for portability) and phono inputs.

And a general update to the workflow. It needs to be modernized. Editing, specifically copying & pasting is still stuck in the MPC 90s.

And bring over some of the software only functions to standalone. Merging programs and drum program note configuration (sequential order) are 2 I'd like to see.

But yeah, I'm cool with it.
