Will it also replace X in the future?
That are good points of discussion.

I don’t think it will replace the X. If anything the X will be discontinued, but if so, I don’t see a replacement for it.

3.0 - would hope so. 4gb motherboard? I would hope so as well. Though I honestly don’t know what they would add to it that would make me (just talking me here) want to buy it. My gripes are all with the software and the basic things it doesn’t do. I know others want more power so they can add more fx etc, and that’s cool too - more power can never be a bad thing in this world. I want 4000 sample manipulation power, not VST and FX power. But not knocking that request / desire - it’d be cool to see more RAM, FX and VSTi. I’d rather see that than more Splice and Ableton control stuff. But the things I want (4000 stuff), doesn’t need anymore RAM. Just coding - so I don’t think a new model would entice me if it didn’t have some 4000-like stuff in it.

I think if Akai wants to develop Mpc in the future, they will consider to put more Ram on it.
They will do it sooner or later, I don't know if they will do it with mk2.
I don't have anything to complain anyway with the current motherboard, I developed my workarounds for limitations like a the lame warp.
I just wish they offer me a better way to change track order on sequences and to swap effect slots but that's very basic stuff and has to do with coding as you said.
Anyway, if they make a good mk2 upgrade, I think it could really be a winner.

Maybe 6/8 outputs?
Maybe 8 qlinks?

But my main question is about the motherboard.I remember someone pointed that Akai bought a whole stock of motherboards and that these motherboards have two versions, one with 2gb of Ram, the other with 4gb. Is this true or just a rumor?

And the other question is if they will put hd/ssd slot as in current Mpc or not as in One.

Predictions:

1. Normal Size Pads
2. 8 Q Link
3. Same layout as the MPC One but slightly larger more buttons.
4. 2 MIDI In/Out
5. 6 Out
6. Ethernet
7. SD card
8. 2 USB - A
9. CV/OUTS
10. 7 inch screen
11. One USB-B

Toss up:

10. Internal SSD mount?
11. Battery

Please don't agree with me. Write your own grocery list and don't copy and paste mine.
